More about LaPorsche Jymi
LaPorsche Jymi is the Founder & CEO of H&H. In June 2018, she launched the social enterprise that has dedicated its mission to empowering impoverished girls through trade skills training and job opportunities. With support and some financial backing from Ivy Tech, she has been able to launch and scale the business with the knowledge, network, and resources needed to be successful.
In 2020 LaPorsche Jymi began a key partnership with Arsenal Tech High School. She is launching a sewing program on the campus that will enable her to grow her production team while empowering more underserved youth. In addition to that, Arsenal Tech has also approved a sales training course designed to teach high school students how to build their confidence and financial literacy through sales.
Born and raised in Gary, IN, LaPorsche is using her own experience in growing up in poverty to help youth develop and connect with the resources and mentors needed to create a plan to combat the vicious cycle of poverty. Her new goal is to utilize H&H as the foundation needed to propel children living in underserved areas forward so that they can unlock their greatest potential and understand the importance of paying it forward.
